The team at Frontera Produce takes pride in the memberships and associations that our company supports in order to help make a difference in the fresh produce industry. Our executives take an active role as contributors and chairpersons on special task forces and committees that address important issues like improving best practices in food safety and traceability. In addition, Frontera Produce is a proud contributor to the PMA Foundation for Industry Talent, an organization that works to attract, retain and develop talent in the fresh produce industry. Along with being a Diamond Level donor, Frontera Produce also plays an active role in the recruitment of new talent from agricultural universities around the United States by visiting schools to promote the Foundation and encourage college students to look for careers in the fresh produce industry.

Supporting the communities where we operate has always been at the forefront of our company's goals. In the spring of 2008, Frontera Produce employees supplied funding and assisted in the manual construction of a playground in Peru for local workers' children to enjoy. In Edinburg, our company is an annual sponsor of a local soccer team. To support the players, Frontera Produce supplies jerseys, soccer equipment and a field to utilize for practices and games. And, we are committed to ending hunger as a regular contributor to FeedingAmerica.org. |
